RSMSSB Stenographer Exam Pattern (Tentative)

It is expected that the exam pattern for the Stenographer exam will remain the same. This exam will consist of two main parts for 200 marks. The 1st part will consist of questions from General Knowledge and Everyday Science and the 2nd part will consist of questions from English and Hindi. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the paper. There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer. After the written examination there will be a test to check the candidate’s stenography and typing skills. RSMSSB Stenographer Admit Card

The RSMSSB Stenographer’s admit card is usually released once the official notification has been released. Admit card is an important document which the candidates are required to appear for the examination. Details such as name, phone number, roll number, etc are mentioned on the admit card. Age Relaxation

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who have passed senior secondary/ equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • They must have a Certificate Course on Computer Concept by NIELIT, New Delhi.
  • They must also contain certificates on Computer Operator & Programming Assistant / Data Preparation and Computer Software {DPCS} certificate organised under national / state council for vocational training scheme.
  • Candidates must have a Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Computer Science / Computer Application or Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT) Course

Nationality

Know what should be the nationality of the aspirants:

  • Candidates must be citizens of India
  • They must be subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
  • They must be refugees of Tibet who settled in India before 1st January 1962
  • People of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Burma, Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Tanzania, are now settled in India.

RSMSSB Stenographer Syllabus

RSMSSB Stenographer PAPER:1

  • General Knowledge – Art and Culture, Traditions, Literature, Geography of Rajasthan, lineage, current affairs, History of Rajasthan, etc
  • General Science – Basic Physics, Chemistry, Biology some topics include metals, acid, based, salts, ecosystem, Mendel’s law of inheritance, etc

RSMSSB Stenographer PAPER-2

  • Hindi: Grammar, Sentence Formation, Comprehension, Passage Writing, Punctuation
  • English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Improvement, Reading Comprehension, Verbs, Adverbs, Idioms, etc

RSMSSB Stenographer Selection Process

Candidates applying for Stenographer will have to undergo 2 papers. Phase I is a written examination in which Paper 1 consists of General knowledge and General Science and Paper 2 consists of Hindi and English. Phase II is a skill-based test that consists of a Stenography Test for both English and Hindi. The candidates who will qualify for phase 1 with the required cut-off will be eligible for this stage. After both stages are completed, the conducting body will publish the final merit list. Lastly, only the document verification remains. All the documents of the shortlisted candidates will be verified at this stage.

Q1: Is there any negative marking in the RSMSSB Stenographer Examination?

Ans: Yes, you’ll find a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks of each question. Carefully attempt the questions and avoid answering unnecessary questions. 

Q2: What is the application fee for the general category for RSMSSB Stenographers?

Ans: The application fee for the general category is 600/- and that for SC/ST/OBC/PwD is 400/-
