SSC MTS 2024: MTS examination is conducted by Staff selection Board (Popularly called by its acronym SSC) for the candidates with education qualification of Matriculation or equivalent degree, including degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning modes of education that is recognized by Distance Education Bureau or University Grants Commission (UGC). Notification for SSC MTS examination has been released on 27th June 2024 for approximately 8,326 posts. The candidates can apply online till July 31, 2024. SSC MTS full form and Job Profile:
The full form of the MTS is Multi-Tasking, it is classified into two categories (1) Technical and (2) Non Technical. Both groups fall in Pay Level-1 as per the Pay Matrix of the 7th Pay Commission. MTS is General Central Service Group “C” Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/ of the government of India/ State and Union Territory. MTS provides primarily level induction into government Jobs. The commission releases the advertisement for induction into MTS service annually.
SSC MTS Notification:
SSC commission has released notification for SSC MTS examination on 27th June 2024. The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC MTS Havaldar 2024 exam in October/November 2024. Usually after the release of notification by SSC a time of approximately one month is given to submit the application form for the SSC MTS Examination, last date to apply online till July 31, 2024.
SSC MTS Exam Date 2024:
According to the tentative calendar of examinations for the year 2024-2025 Dated November 2, 2023, the SSC was supposed to conduct Tier 1 of the MTS (Non- Technical) examination in the month of Oct-Nov, 2024. The Notification for the same has been issued on 27th June, 2024.

SSC MTS Eligibility: SSC MTS Age Limit, Educational Qualification, Nationality
SSC in its official notification, provides all the details related to educational qualification, nationality of candidate and age limit, we have given all the information regarding eligibility
based on the official notification 2023 released by the SSC. Usually, the eligibility criteria do not change from year to year except the Cutoff date for determining the upper and lower limits of the age of the candidates.
Nationality: The candidates must be Citizen of India or citizen of Nepal or citizen of Bhutan or Person of India origin (PIO)
Educational qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board or he hold a Degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded by Open or Distance learning Institution

SSC MTS Apply Online and OTR:
In this section, we have provided step-by-step process of how to apply for SSC MTS 2024, the Documents required, the application fee, and corrections in the application in case there is any error.
- Application for SSC MTS must be submitted in online mode at the website (https://ssc.nic.in/) of the commission.
- Candidates are required to have the following at the time of filling the form for the SSC MTS 2024
- A scanned copy of the colour photograph in JPGE format; the size of the photograph must be between 20 to 50 KB
- Scanned copy of the signature
- If a candidate is claiming reservation, a valid certificate of reservation for that financial year
- Disability certificate for person with disability
- Valid ID Proof
- Mobile Number
- The name of the candidates, his date of birth, the father’s name and the mother’s name must be fill as given in the matriculation certificate.
- Matriculation Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the 10th Examination.
- Candidates are advised to submit the application form much before the closing date to avoid possible disconnection of failure of the SSC Website
For the sake of the convenience of the candidates, the commission has made a provision for one-time registration called OTR. After submitting OTR candidates will get a permanent registration number. That registration number is used to apply for any examination conducted by the commission. Candidates can register themself anytime by clicking on the ‘Register Now’ link provided in the login section on https://ssc.nic.in.
Application Fee:
The application fee is ₹100; Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen are exempt from the payment of the application fee. Payment can be made through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or through Cash in SBI Branch after generating chalan.

Correction/ Edit in application form
After the final date for submission of application is over commission gave a window of opportunity for those candidate that have made a mistakes in their application form to rectify that. This facility is open for 2 to 3 days after final date of submission of application form for SSC MTS. The commission charges an extra fee of 200 for making corrections in the submitted application form in the first instance and fee of 500 for making corrections in the second instance.
Correction fee will be charged for all candidates whether belonging to the category for which fees are exempted or not.
Candidates need to be mindful when availing this facility because they can (1) only make corrections in their application form for a maximum number of two times (2) that too in the specific window of 2 to 3 days. After the expiry of the date of this correction window candidates are not allowed to make any changes whatsoever.

Each regional office is entrusted with task of bringing vacancies conducting examination and other matters related to SSC MTS examination. SSC MTS Scheme of Examination:
SSC MTS exam consists of two levels called Tier 1 and Tier 2; Tier 1 is an objective type multiple choice Computer Based Examination. The examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages. Tier 2 is Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).
The computer-based examination will be conducted in two sessions each of 45 minutes back to back on the same day. Session one will have 40 questions, 20 from each section on Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability, and Problem Solving. Session two will consist of 50 questions, 25 from each General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension section.

Candidates have to appear in both sessions; otherwise, they will be considered disqualified. The commission has mentioned in its official notification that in case of dispute/ discrepancies in question between English and Other languages content of the English version will be considered correct so candidates belonging to the regional language are advised to verify the unclear question from its English text.

SSC MTS 2024 Admit Card:
All the candidates who had applied for the SSC MTS Examination before the closing date of the form fillup and whose applications were provisionally accepted by the commission were eligible to appear in the SSC MTS Examination 2024. The commission’s acceptance of applications is only provisional, as the staff selection commission does not go into detail to verify eligibility of each candidate at the time of application.
Admit cards for the computer-based examination are issued by the concerned regional centre’s official websites, for which we have given the link in the section centre of examination. The detail of the centre of examination is provisionally provided by the commission two weeks before the actual release of the admit card for SSC MTS or SSC CGL. SSC MTS Admit Card 2024 will be available 3 to 7 days before the examination at the website of the concerned regional offices.
Document to Bring at Exam Center
Candidates are advised to bring two copies of SSC MTS Admit Card 2024 to the designated center of examination. In addition to the SSC MTS 2024 admit card it is mandatory for the candidates to bring at least two passport-size photographs and an Original Valid Photo ID having date of birth, such as Aadhaar Card/ Voter’s ID/ Driving License/PAN Card/ Passport and others
SSC MTS Result:
The final result of the SSC MTS exam is based on the Total Number of Marks a candidate secures in Session II of the Computer based examination. The commission will evaluate the answers of Session II for only those candidates who have qualified in session 1 of the Computer-Based Examination. The result is usually declared within 60 days of the examination, but before that, the commission releases its official answer which a candidate can use to gauge his performance. Final merit is based on the performance in Session II of the examination.
