Overview of UP D. El. Ed. Syllabus:
UP D. El. Ed. syllabus is designed by keeping in view the grand vision of enhancing the educational quality of primary education through improving UP D. El. Ed. syllabus and its pedagogy. SCERT D. El. Ed. syllabus incorporates current educational needs, expectations, child psychology and the process of learning along with new teaching methods and educational innovations. The course spans over a period of two-year, divided into four semesters. Each semester will be of 6 months (minimum 120 academic days and 10 examination days). UP D. El. Ed. Syllabus for 1st Semester:
UP. D. El. Ed. 1st semester syllabus is divided into two sections (1) Theoretical subject and (2) general subject. The Theoretical course has two subjects
- Edu 1 – Child development and process of learning and
- Edu 2 – Principle of teaching and learning
Both of these subjects are part of teaching pedagogy that have to be studied by all the students enrolled in the UP. D. El. Second Paper of UP D. El. Ed is the principle of teaching and learning. This paper has the following objectives –

The objective of this paper is to build the capacity of elementary teachers to to convey the knowledge and concepts inherent in each lesson of development of reading-writing ability of language and mathematics to the children at the initial level.
